I was in Kiev during the later part of the Maidan square revolution and witnessed the triumph of the protesters, the end of the Yanukovitch reign and the sadness as the protesters buried their slain. It was a powerful experience to say the least.

I was the only Photographer present when a mob dragged this man through the street. He was a 'Titushki' (Informer) It was a powerful and tragic scene as the crowd turned on him and began to beat him, I was asked to stop shooting and refused. Only when the people realised I was documenting the scene did they stop attacking the man. He was carried off into a building, I was refused entry, being told that he was going to be 'Judged'. I have no idea what became of him.

The barricades were impressive structures, cobbled together from anything at hand, old beds, bricks and mortar, cars etc etc.

A man holds aloft a picture of his brother who had died the previous day in the fighting.
